Project Description

FUSE is the name of an annual student showcase hosted by Bradley University’s Department of Interactive Media. The department takes over the Peoria Riverfront Museum for one day in April to display exhibitions. Alongside the in-person event, there’s a website to display student work. This year, I had the opportunity to help design and create content for the website with the Fuse Production Team. A previous iteration of the website existed from the showcase in 2021, but it was outdated. The graphic content on the website needed an update, as well as the layout of the website to create a more cohesive and streamlined experience. Our team hoped to solve the issues of an outdated website while creating a beautiful site for students to display their work. I was primarily responsible for creating digital assets that would be used throughout the website, like the wires you see here, as well as the header image and parts of the website’s lightbulb logo. I also helped wireframe and prototype for the website in its early stages. My designs were then iterated on by senior members of the Production Team and coded. Most of what I did was created through Illustrator, Photoshop, and good old-fashioned hand drawn sketches. Most of my mockups and wireframes were hand drawn before I handed them off to other team members. I got the chance to work with a group on this project, and I learned a lot from this experience. The impact of this website was huge for the Interactive Media department. It was utilized by 300+ students and faculty to get information, as well as employers and members of the community.
